Experience

During my time as a student at Missouri Western State University, I worked as a tutor during the 2005 fall semester for Dr. Patrick McLear's American History 140 class. This position is only given to the top student in the class and I was chosen to help the student's with American History 140. Furthermore, the experience allowed me to work with students of differing backgrounds and with different ways of learning and studying the information. In addition to this experience at Missouri Western State University, I had a strong history of academic achievement and excellence during my time as a student. In 2008, I was honored with the Most Outstanding Sociology Student of the Year (presented to only one student/2008 was the first year of the award) and I was also honored with the Scholastic Key Award. In 2007, I was inducted into the Alpha Chi and Phi Alpha Theta honor fraternities. Furthermore, from 2004-2008, I was honored with being on the Dean's and/or President's honor list. Lastly, when I graduated from Missouri Western in 2008, I graduated Magna Cum Laude, majoring in History/Sociology.
